McMurphy does uncommon things like he plays basketball with other crazies, he runs away with crazies to fishing. He tries to change this system but all times, he punished for this tries. In addition, in the end he lost of his mind. That is the main struggle of novel. Why do people, who are tries the changes something, punishes? Why system punish us? Why we have to obey the rules in order to be we keep living?

In One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, main character, Randle McMurphy is related with Jesus Christ. Ken Kesey uses some figures, symbols and actions to show that. In the beginning of the novel, McMurphy baptised with a shower before entering the dormitory. McMurphy also asks for his thorn crowns. Before the therapy of sick people approaches him and says ‘I wash my hands of the whole deal’ (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 58) Pontius Pilate told Jesus before condemning him to death.

Jesus was a friend of Mary, like McMurphy was friend of the whore. When McMurphy leads the patients on a boat tour, McMurphy takes the 'twelve of us to the ocean,' (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 203)it is similar with Jesus. He empowered his twelve friends. Fishing trip is so significant symbol in this book, like fish is so important symbol for Christian Indıan Guy, chief defines the sense of the change of the crazy guys when the trips is finished. 'weren't the same bunch of weak-knees from a nuthouse anymore.' (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 215). We understand from this action that leadership of Randle McMurphy like Jesus Christ. In the end, the other characters feelings and acts show us to progress of Randle McMurphy as a heroic Christian figure. Exactly similarities can be ground between McMurphy and Jesus Christ healing. Jesus opened blind men eyes, he opened tongue of the dumbs. McMurphy is the only guy who speak with Chief, when he says 'Thank-you.' (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 184) and finally, McMurphy 'heals' deafness and dumbness of chief. In addition to Chief, Billy Bibbit was also aided and encouraged by Randall. As a disciple however, Billy does not show pleasure and betrays McMurphy claiming 'McMurphy did it!' (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 264) and blaming all the mess on him.

As a result of his betrayal, the Bibbit killed himself as he did to the Romans for the crucifixion of Judah. Although McMurphy was betrayed by Billy Bibbit, he made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that Ratched could not use Billy's death to take what he taught his patients and winnings. His sacrifice turn into an revelation to the other sick guys and they finally had enough strength where the nurse could no longer 'rule with her old power anymore' (One Flew Over thee Cuckoo’s Nest 269).

In the end of the novel, the Chief brings to remembrance the things MacMurphy taught to them. In doing so, we can see McMurph as Jesus Christ, because both of these guys life pass with helping to others. They dedicated themselves to goodness As a result of this evidence, McMurphy's character passed successfully.
