Public education has enabled families to afford to take their kids to schools and colleges since it is cheap in terms of fees. Since public schools are tuition-free, accessible to all kids and publicly financed, every parent should not have an excuse for not taking their kids to schools. Public schools have helped to reduce poverty level where every kid is taught new skills which they could use after school so as to prepare them to be successful in life. Parents whom cannot afford to pay school fee for their kids get help from the government or the scholarship from NGOs. This reduces the number of the dropout from schools since the amount of the money charged for each kid is affordable. Parents should take their kids to school so as to be successful in life since, in schools, kids learn a lot of skills that they can apply to be innovative and to excel in career opportunities. Public schools help to shape the kids in terms of behaviors and moral upright. A student is taught how they should behave themselves and how they should treat other older people in a respectful manner in which they do not get from their parents.

According to American research, publication of schools has helped to reduce inequalities in all the American societies and also preparing kids to be more responsible in life. In the resent year, research shows that public schools have been neglected and it could be in danger of being abandoned since they do not provide quality educations as compared to private one. The government has made an effort to reform public schools to ensure that the kind of education increases students’ academic achievement and preparing kids for well-paying jobs in the economy (Benjamin). This research tries to solve question whether there is the need for public schools in America and in the whole world. It looks at what the public schools are expected to deliver to the students and the mission behind it. Public education has helped to change children from productive citizens, literate, morals and also to eliminate crimes such as theft and also to do away with poverty. It has also helped in unifying the population since children from all diversity meet to learn and share ideas. Even though public schools have been affected by many challenges such as overcrowding, lack of adequate teachers and lack of enough classes, it remains the cornerstone of a successful life of a kid. The research shows that public schools were developed to help kids with disabilities, kids from the poor background and Limited-Proficient children but recently, public schools are universal to all children in both low income and high income earner as it is accessible countrywide and the quality of education is the same to that of private schools. For this, public schools serve around 90% while private schools serve 10% which remains for many years since low-income earner prefer taking their children to public schools. Public schools therefore prepare all kids for successful life after school.

In contrast, public schools lack enough resources such as well qualified teachers, access to advanced courses, inadequate classrooms and lack of enough effectiveness in leadership and teaching. When public schools in rural areas lack adequate resources such as fund, have an outdated library and lack recreation facilities(Machtinger). They also lack enough books for students and the teaching staff and this leads to difficulties for students trying to establish their potentials. Most of the teaching staffs in public schools lack enough experience to instill knowledge and skills to the students and hence most of them complete schools without skills that can help them to be successful in life. For example, students in high poverty level are likely to be taught by teachers with no experience. Education system somehow destroys our kids in such as they are taught something which is practical in the lifetime. The other contract is that the teacher they listen to are very boring when they are teaching and this end up killing student’s moral of learning. This arises due to some teacher being forced to take subjects which they are comfortable with which may have negative effects on livelihood. This may mostly apply when students are misled on financial which is the very crucial topic in life. The other kind of student is best in class but when it comes to the real application of what they were taught in class in real life becomes a problem since they only paid attention to what they were taught.

Public school academic does not tell us who we are but tells us that we are good at school but few students realize this. It does not tell us whether we will be successful in life such successful in managing money, raising our kids, giving back to society or marriage. Kids should be taught what they are good at, and what they desire to be and teachers should be helping kids identify their talents. They should be taught to be a problem solver and innovative. They are taught on the certain topic but they are not told how they would apply it in life or why it matters. In mathematical class, a student is taught calculus but they are not shown on how it would be applicable in their real life. Public schools do not teach kids on how to manage money. This has led most of the students after school to be unable to use money wisely since they were only taught to be good at school. They even do not know the importance of saving and investing. Parents have also complained a lot that their children lack financial knowledge because of how they are overspending. Parent do not like being involved in teaching their children on financial management since it would be more confusing since there is the change in education levels. They only want to teach them to differentiate between a need and want.
