Loneliness And Depression In Social Media And Spider Poem
Social network connects all the people around the world. This connection makes everyone feel together no matter how far they are and this connection is strong like spiders web. The web links the people powerfully ıt provides worldwide connectivity. Social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc are the fastest and the most convenient ways to be connected to our loved ones no matter how far they are from us. The connections can help one a variety of things thanks to social network and they represent the social ties. The web provides knowledge to reach all around the world as fastest as possible. Also these connections can effect our feelings in diffrent ways, it can be more affective than we think.
Today, no matter where we are, no matter how far we are, ıts so easy to reach everyone and evertyhing we want. Whenever we need to reach anyting we want the social network makes the world smaller as ıf ıt ıs in our hand. In our environment, social networks refer to social ties that connect us with other people. These ties are our family, friends, classmates, colleagues, neighbors and so on. When we read the “Walt Whitman’s poem A noiseless patient spider” we see the in the second stanza at line six use of metaphor and powerful imagery emphasizing the speaker’s own search for soulful connectedness to the world. “And you, O my soul where you stand, / Surrounded, detached, in measureless oceans of space, /Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking the spheres to connect them…” Brings forth the visual image of a disconnected soul floating and searching through the universe for something to connect with to fill the void in the speaker’s soul. Whitman’s use of emotive imagery and metaphor to evoke the lost and lonely emotions of the speaker allows the reader to identify with his need to fill that void. Therefore, The web saves us from loneliness. It makes our world closer to eveyone and everything because everyone is in the search of their own soul or life.
Social networks help people to fill the emptiness they help them to get out of the loneliness and make all the people come together they become the whole. at this point what the people make stronger is the dependence to each other, actually we are alone like a spider in the poem while using social media we connect with the whole world. We can get of the loneliness and we can connect whole world ıt makes us more social than we are.
Hbkdev stated about “Author Walt Whiteman In his poem, “A Noiseless Patient Spider” uses the simple imagery of a spider to portray a deeper human emotion. The mood of this poem is helpless, lonely, and desperate, but at the same time, strangely hopeful because of the spider’s determination to find a connection. With the repetition of the word “filament”, the speaker illustrates the constant effort of the spider.” (para.2). For years people have had efforts to convey their emotions but thanks to techonolgy and social media we can express our feelings easily such as happiness, sadness etc. Even if we are far away from each other we can share all these emotions thanks to net.
In conclusion; As ıt mentioned above every human being can see a spider in itself how spider tries to reach somewhere with or how tries to be alive with its web as human being we do the same things we are trying to be existwhile we are getting out of our loneliness with our nets we are not alone but we are the one with all human beings.
