There are three types of argumentative essays. Classical, Rogerian, and Toulmin way of representing your arguments. It is essential to note that the three types follow the above three-part body structure but differs in the mode of representation. In a classical argumentative essay, you start by presenting the main argument, then stating your overview or opinion and convincing your reading audience on why your point of view is the right one. It is also known as the Aristotelian essay. It is the most popular argumentative essay representation. It is considered the simplest of the three with a good flow of the presented arguments. It is applicable where the audience lacks a lot of information or opinions regarding your topic as it basically outlines facts concisely and clearly. In Rogerian argumentative essays, you first represent the problem, then acknowledge the opposing side of your argument, state your viewpoint and then explain why your point of view is the most applicable or beneficial to the reader. Rogerian is most effective in polarizing topics as it tends to acknowledge both sides of the argument then present the middle ground. In Toulmin, you start by presenting your claim, then possible grounds to back up that claim followed by justifying grounds linked to that claim. It is also effective in polarizing topics but rather than presenting both sides, it only presents one.

Since the discovery of human life, man has had numerous arguments, well or rarely done? Of course, all arguments depend on people’s point of view or in the case of wives and husbands, what the wife thinks. Some arguments never end. Good vs Evil, only me vs Entire World, private worship vs organized religion, God vs no God, Finite universe vs Infinite universe, Aliens vs no Aliens, Nature vs Nature, Jelly vs Peanut Butter, etc. A story is told of two students from Doki Highschool, who broke the world’s record for having the longest argument ever in history. MC Anon and Natsuki Baker argued for over 48 hours before Natsuki collapsed from dehydration and exhaustion. He was then rushed to the hospital where she successfully recovered. Witnesses say that they kept on arguing. The two were both of the school’s literature clubs. They are fond of seeing things differently. Other members of the club tried to stop them but nothing worked. The argument was all about whether the anime or manga of the popular tv show “Parfait Girls was better (DDLC, 2020). What if they were provided with a paper and pen and told to write down their argumentative essays, could it have taken all that time to complete? Argumentative essays are therefore short and on point. But still, it remains on your point of view.
