If students are required to wear uniforms they wouldn't be able to express themselves. Students begin to be self-conscious and often lacking confidence, some teens use clothing and outward appearance to express themselves. It is not fair to prevent them from trying to figure out who they are by making them wear uniforms. Students can also express their style and colors they like through the clothes they wear but if you make them wear plain boring clothes they might not be as happy to go to school. Students wouldn't be able to show off the clothes they like or who inspires them.

Students already feel like there are some many dumb rules in school. They would hate having rules specifically telling them what and what they can't wear. Students are most likely to break the uniform code every once in a while. Uniforms can also be expensive and children keep growing all the time. Some students might not be able to purchase the required uniform.

School uniforms can also be uncomfortable for some kids. During a long day of focussing and doing schoolwork you just want to be comfy and feel like you have to look really nice. School days can feel longer than they are sometimes and some students don't feel relaxed while wearing nice clothes. Some students chose to dress nicer but still feel comfy and sometimes you just want to have a lazyday and throw on sweatpants. Kids don't like wearing clothes they aren't comfortable in and especially not when they have six or eight hours of work to do.

School uniforms shouldn’t be mandatory in Stafford county because kids wouldn’t be able to express themselves, kids would be miserable having rules telling them what and what not to wear, also school uniforms can be uncomfortable during a long day of working hard. Also uniforms can be expensive. School uniforms should not be mandatory also because students would not have fun going to school dressed like everyone else. It would make students think everyone should dress a certain way when really they should express themselves.
