Environmental condition is very affecting human’s life. Environmental condition is everything which is surrounding us. One of the examples is the air temperature. That's why the right temperature can easily affect on human productivity, by stabilizing the human body temperature. If their body temperature too cold or too hot, they won’t feel comfortable. Time by time, human have invented some invention that can help them to control the air temperature. The inventions that we can find in daily life are the electric fan and air conditioner. These inventions have a quite similar function but these things have slight differences in how they work, price and electricity consumption.

The first point is how electric fan and air conditioner systematically works. Actually, an electric fan doesn’t cool down the air. Due to the fan spins, the breeze occurrs to evaporate the human body sweat. It will make our body feel cooler. Meanwhile, the air conditioner process the air by exchanging the surrounding air and the gas produced by the refrigerant that has been cooled down by liquid in the system. The mechanical process of an air conditioner is more complicated than an electric fan.

The other point is the overall price difference between an electric fan and an air conditioner. Most people think that the electric fan is economical equipment. The price of an electrical fan is cheaper than an air conditioner. Although, nowadays so many factories have produced cheaper air conditioner, it still more expensive than an electric fan. That's why the air conditioner is well-known as high-class equipment.

The last point is electricity consumption between an electric fan and an air conditioner. An electric fan consumed 15-60 Watt an hour while an air conditioner needs 320-1720 Watt an hour. It shows a slight difference between them but it also depends on how it used. Of course, normal usage will cost less in the electricity bill rather than long-term usage.

As the statement above, both are the human inventions to control the air temperature but they're distinct in many ways. While the function has similarity, the differences between make them useful for its own users.
