In the 1990’s in the United Sates they were a lot of major health threats that were infectious diseases associated with poor hygiene and poor sanitation. Diseases that were associated with bad nutrition. By motivating students and young youths about the benefits from health education it can help to improve their health, avoid unhealthy behaviors, prevent heart disease, practice sex, nutritional status, utilization of the health care system, but also educating people about health. I also believe having a health education programs are an important curriculum in most school districts but should also be taught around the world. Health education programs help students learn new skills that they will help them to make healthy choices in their life. For most children, lack pf proper knowledge in health education can lead to bad decisions throughout their lifetime. I believe that people needs to take an important proactive role in health education.

I would have selected more to talk about, but I chose anger management because of its long-term physical effects of uncontrolled anger that can affect many things in your health such as high blood pressure, headaches, testosterone production increases, arterial tension and anxiety. I would be speaking out to my middle and high school students who are in my health education class because the topic that I will be discussing deals with my student’s health and how this can affect their health. it has been said that having anger is perfectly normal to feel angry, when you feel like you’re not being listened to, mistreated, being left out, etc. but the problem on how to control your emotions is how you deal with it without exploding, because anger can become dangerous depending on what type of anger you have, and it may also cause harm to you and others.

A lot of direct signs and indirect signs can be quickly determined and if your anger is also drawn to the physiological sensation of your body. Direct signs of anger can be: raised voice, yelling cursing, hitting, threating others, headaches, clenched fist, etc. the indirect signs of anger can be: too much sleeping, abuse of alcohol, anxiety, hostile joking, etc. What can be done? You shouldn’t stay in a situation that makes you angry or probably make you angry forever. I am not the type of person that gets angry, but I do get mad in some situations and the way I utilize ways to get calm is breathing deeply and slowly or I might even end up counting to ten as many times as I can to stay calm. The one thing I like to do is to identify any of my anger trigger and I do this by having a dairy that I put under my bed and I write down my feeling and thoughts, I make a list of what anger triggers me. Communication is also a way you can discuss some of the issues you are facing without even exploding. There is a lot of options out there on how to control your anger, but the only thing is if you willing to take those chances and help reduce the cause of anger.

Health and counseling provides information that my students will need to carry throughout their lifetime. My counseling will provide counseling to individuals with drug-abuse problems, referral counseling programs, services to individuals and families to help make the right choices. Students health and Counseling services provides information that can help a student identify his/ or her needs. Also, if you are not sure on how to get back on track, suffering from a burnout or which is the right pathway to take, Student Health and Career service counseling will help get a clearer understanding of yourself. Counseling can make a huge difference for some people, but the success lies in the individual. For some people change it possible but can be difficult because of kind of character you have. I used to be depressed, but I was able to treat be depression in my counseling program, and that was my first step change. As I am teaching my students about mental health counselors and what they provide they will get a clear understanding of what kind of mental health counselor provides such as unhealthy relationships, substance abuse, depression, and other mental and psychological issues. They are so many ways to improve mental health services, and my own key feature would be being too able to have communication skills, team working to strengthen the safety culture, reduce harm, and how to make better safer care pathways.

A lot of families struggle to provide many of their children’s emotional needs and physical needs. As cited in Santrock, 2015, that it is important that parents play an important role helping young children regulate their emotions (Dunsmore, Booker, & Ollendick, 2013 page 237). When children are exposed to family issues during their childhood development and early adolescence can affect brain development, are exposed to negative experience that can harm others, and can have an impact of exposure to domestic violence which could also lead to mental health issues. A challenge parents face is that young children typically don't want to talk about difficult emotional topics, such as being distressed or engaging in negative behaviors (Santrock, 2015 page 238). I have a family member who had struggled with family and childhood issues because during his childhood he would witness physical violence between his mom and his dad, one or both or his parent exert a strong authoritarian control over him, his parents were inappropriately distant and uninvolved with their children, physically abused, and has experienced rejection. I believe that during his childhood, he was growing in such environments where he most likely developed low self-esteem.

Although he didn’t want to have all those memories stuck in head and live with self-esteem forever, so he decides to I identify painful and difficult experiences that happened to him during his childhood, as he is grown now and about to finish high school and enter college he made a list of their behaviors, beliefs, etc. that he would like to see change. But the most important thing is to set clear limits. I think that in the sake of god Building a health education class all over the world and in every school setting, that has so much resources that will help maintain a child’s health and improve health care outcomes. I truly believe that having good health is extremely important, and to help you live a better healthy life. A lot of these community hospital offers services to patients and the community through the health education center that will help you initiate life style changes, set healthy goals through the classes that they offer, and providing good services. Health education could build a lot of these student’s knowledge and build positive attitudes towards their health. We could say a lot about health education “Right” how important it allows the opportunity to know how take care of ourselves and how education can create opportunities for a better health Physically, emotionally and social health can really raise students’ knowledge about health education. I think especially in the world we live in now with all these extremely violent incidents occurring (especially with things like all the mass shootings occurring in schools around the country), it's especially important to teach today's youth how to properly handle these types of emotions. I think teaching them about the signs of anger rising as I mentioned is a great plan, because they can learn not only to control their own anger but possibly help avoid additional conflict with others or de-escalate a situation with a classmate. A lot of kids don't know how to channel that energy into positive things.

A lot of issues that have arose deal a lot with lack of skills in dealing with emotions. The use of marijuana is a psychoactive drug intended for medical and recreational use. Psychoactive drugs are drugs that act on the nervous system to alter states of consciousness, modify perceptions, and change moods (Santrock, 2015 page 80) There are so many slang words to call Marijuana, such as weed, pot, grass, herb, etc. several other slang terms are also used. The use of marijuana can affect your brain and body but could also have long side effects. At times whether a person uses marijuana for medical reasons it may also produce physical and psychological effects. That person anger can go anywhere using Marijuana. Marijuana is also common by eating and drinking forms of prepared marijuana. The use of marijuana has been reported of feeling relaxed or an elevation mood. Some of the short-term consequences of using marijuana can cause certain things such as puffy eyelid, dry eyes, bloodshot eyes, etc. this common among the users of marijuana.

Also, the use of people using marijuana can have experience of with learning and memory, difficulty thinking, and may have trouble solving problems. (As cited in Santrock, 2015) adolescents who have dropped out of school are behind in their grade level, are users of heavy drugs, regularly use cigarettes and marijuana. On the other hand, the other hand intervention programs for getting the treatment of marijuana addiction use or having an addiction to it, intervention programs can help increase, and break the cycle of addiction allowing you to live a healthy life style. When it comes down to health education and planning a health education class, it is important that people need to remember that adolescents have the ability think conceptually, logically and idealistically (Santrock, 2015). These are children who are transitioning to adulthood and can think and reason. As stated by Santrock (2015), “Adolescents’ ability to attain autonomy and gain control over their behavior is acquired through appropriate adult reactions to their desire for control’ (p. 378). Additionally, self-esteem in adolescent’s changes as they grow and become more aware of their identity. Thus, when planning a health education class, I need to make sure that students do not feel as if they’re being lectured or told what not to do. Instead, it needs to be engaging and informational.

Adolescence is a difficult time for many individuals. There are many cognitive changes that are occurring that can lead an individual to feeling lost and confused. Identity development is a central theme during adolescence and adulthood (Santrock, 2015). Although identity formation is a long process that occurs throughout many years, an important aspect of adolescence is that “for the first time, physical development, cognitive development, and socioemotional development advance to the point at which the individual can sort through and synthesize childhood identities and identifications to construct a viable path toward adult maturity” (Santrock, 2015, p. 373). This would be something that people should consider, while developing a good health education class. If I were to develop a health class myself, I would want to help students formulate a healthy self-image and develop habits that enhance a sense of wellbeing that they can carry with them into adulthood. I would hope to give them the skills necessary to develop a healthy, functional sense of self. Individuals also enter Piaget’s formal operational stage during adolescence (Santrock, 2015). This stage is characterized by a sophistication in thought processes, along with the ability to think abstractly and more logically (Santrock, 2015). Adolescents are no longer constricted to concrete ways of thinking and can manipulate ideas in their mind (Santrock, 2015).

Adolescents also are very idealistic (Santrock, 2015). I would capitalize on these changes in thought processes throughout my health class. I would emphasize the consequences of holistic healthy/unhealthy living. I would hopefully try to show that habits formed early in life have the potential to help or hinder happiness later in life. Since adolescence is a time where social relationships are very important and peer pressure is prevalent (Santrock, 2015), I would also emphasize what good friendships look like, and how to develop and maintain good social relationships. Overall, I would focus on helping my students develop positive self-esteem. I would want them to be able to explore their identity within my classroom. I would want them to think about all the different areas of their life and how they can best show up for themselves.
