Because my book is a biography of this girl's life I had trouble writing a summary and a biography for this book because they both sounded very similar. So I decided to combine them into one, I hope this is okay.

The author of my book is Malala yousafzai, she was born on the 12th of July in 1997 in Swat valley, Pakistan. Her parents are Toor Pekai Yousafzai and Ziauddin Yousafzai. She has two brothers, Kushal and Atal who she loves very dearly and has always taken care of since they were babies.

Malala's father an educator who owned a school for children, as result, this Malala grew up watching her father teach different students. When Malala was old enough to attend school she was always a very bright student who loved to learn and strived to do her very best in all subjects.

But in Pakistan, there had always been gender equality issues discriminating women from men. But Malala had always been raised that men and women should have equal rights, opportunities, and privileges.

In January 2009 an army called the Taliban took over Malala's village, they took many lives, destroyed many homes, buildings and schools, and once again brought up the issue of discriminating men and women.

On January 15th, 2009 the Taliban army had completely taken over Malala's village and had told everyone that females would no longer be allowed to attend school because there was no need to educate women. After all, women were supposed to stay home, take care of their children and clean and cook.

Malala was outraged that she was no longer allowed to go to school, so she began to protest and fight for her right to an education. Word got around quickly that a girl had stood up against the Taliban, soon schools started to reopen and girls were allowed back in them.

On the 9th of October 2012, Malala was riding the bus home from school when a Taliban soldier with a gun entered the bus and demanded to know who the girl called Malala was, once all the kids had turned and looked at Malala the soldier shot her in the head.

Malala was rushed to a nearby hospital in Pakistan but was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in the UK. Malala was not expected to live but despite her odds, she survived and made a full recovery.

By the time Malala was recovered, she had already made headlines all across the world. People were doing news reports, she was on the cover of Magazines, people all over the world were sending her to get the good letter and telling her how much she inspires them.

In 2013 Malala wrote the book I Am Malala, the book was about how one young girl can make a difference in her community and other people's lives.

In 2014 Malala was the youngest person to ever win a Nobel Prize, she had won the Nobel peace prize along with another man.

Today Malala still lives in the UK and has not yet returned to her home in Pakistan but she believes that one day she will. Right now she is currently 21 years old and is going to school at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford for her bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
