As we see, we have a huge problem in our world, which is the global warming. When this issue started, we didn’t care about it, but now we are realizing the big problem which is the global warming for our planet. If we had tried to make a change about this issue before, right now we wouldn’t have that concern. Maybe is a little bit late to make a change, but never is too late: so we have to work harder and harder to solve this terrible problem.

“Most of our economy is based on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are coal, oil, and natural gas. Oil powers most of the transportation sector. Coal and natural gas power most of the electric”. -Michael Brune (Executive director, Sierra club). There are some countries that their economy is based in the transportation sector; Germany makes a huge number of cars. It will be impossible to stop them of producing them; but maybe we can have more cautions when we produce a car. It’s a huge problem because we are causing an extremely changes to the earth’s climate. I know it’s hard to control the carbon dioxide which we release; because most of the things we do, releases CO2; we have to try to reduce the carbon dioxide we release. If we don’t make a change now, then when are we going to make it? I think is the best timing to make a change, I’m not saying just for us; I’m saying to make a change for the people you love and for the world you want to be when your children grow up. The polar ice caps will melt because the global warming, so this will cause the extinction of the polar bears. This is related to biology; because biology is the study of life, which includes animals. Also will cause a damage to the society in a few years; that’s why we have to make people think about it and make a change.

Biology is related to most of damages, which are caused by this issue we are facing now, in our world. Climate change affects biology in the following: animals reproduce very often, but if the climate changes it will damage to these animals; maybe it isn’t a big deal but some animals wait until a good weather comes, to reproduce themselves. It’s healthier for their little baby, also it is much easier to give their baby food and keep it safe. Plants can also act different when the climate changes arrive; maybe there are plants that can’t endure any type of weather. Maybe this documentary with Leonardo DiCaprio will help the society to raise awareness and start doing a change. If Leonardo is a leader to solve this issue, then, lots of people will follow him and start to change their way of thinking. This American actor is an influencer and has lots of followers, so they will do what Leonardo recommends to do. We have to start making a change, before it’s too late. I really liked this documentary, it helped me to see this issue a little bit different and to think something else than just my life; to think about our world, about our life.
