In Journal 10 which is the prevalence and correlates of depression, anxiety, and stress in a sample of college students reported that Franciscan University Counseling Center showcased the result of an increase of 231% in regular visitors over the last four years, as well as a rise of 173% in total annual patients. At many colleges, this pattern has been noticed as mental health issues present significant problems for many students in university. The goal of this research was to investigate possible causes of depression, anxiety, and pressure in a college student population. The overall study studied consisted of 374 participants between the ages of 18 and 24 who attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Subjects conducted a questionnaire composed of demographic questions, a segment in which respondents were told to assess the level of concern correlated with day-to-day problems such as education, friends and sleep and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS 21) 21 question variant. The results indicated that academic performance, pressure to succeed, and post-graduation expectations were the main three issues. The most frustrated, worried, and distressed students are demographically converts, upper peers, and those residing off-campus.

In Journal 11 which is the prevalence and socio-demographic correlations of depression, anxiety and stress among a group of university students showed that University student’s mental health is a field of increasing concern around the globe. The purpose of this research is to examine the prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress among a group of students at Turkish universities. Methods Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-42) was performed by 1,617 participants voluntarily in the corresponding classrooms. Results Within 27.1%, 47.1% and 27 % of our participants, respectively, depression, anxiety, and stress levels of medium intensity or above are observed. Results shows among female students, the levels of anxiety and stress are higher. Participants in the first and second years showed greater levels of depression, fear, and tension than the others. Students who were happy with their learning reported lower levels of depression, anxiety, and pressure than those who were not pleased.

Based on Journal 12 which is titled ICT Students, Stress and Coping Strategies: English Perspective A Case Study of Midsize Middle Eastern University, this thesis explores the experiences of pressure among ICT students and their coping strategies when interacting with English as a means of learning during their university studies. A semi-structured based survey was conducted using a group of 267 male students from a mid-size Middle Eastern university computer science institution. The research also used a phenomenological method with semi-structured interviews of ten participants to explain some of the findings of this study. Since the research subject was focused on the pressure experiences of learners, the phenomenological examination of interviews with transcribed students was also an appropriate method for this review. Phenomenology helps users to convey, from their own point of view, their thoughts about a particular situation or occurrence that may not be easy to express on a questionnaire. Because the research subject was focused on the pressure experiences of learners, the phenomenological examination of interviews with transcribed students was also an appropriate tool for this review. All the students who participated in this study thought they were stressed at one time or another because they had English as the medium of instruction without an English Preparatory Year Program (PYEP) before entering ICT courses.62% of students said they had periods of anxiety at one point or another related to English language during their research. The students request online English language classes, more on-campus leisure time programs, adequate directions in English language courses to ease their ICT course studies.
