Being a teacher is more than of what you are thinking, they teach in school, they teach about math, english, science and many other subjects but is it not just about school lessons but they also teach about life lessons. With the movie entitled ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ many was able to open their minds between the phenomena of life after birth and life before people die. This movie teaches us on how to live our lives in every moment, to never regret, to make each seconds meaningful and to use our time wisely.

Morrie, is a college professor who loves to eat and to dance tango. He and Mitch had a great relationship back when Mitch is in his college years. After Mitch had his diploma, they never see each other for 16 years. Mitch had only decided to see Morrie when he heard news about Morrie’s life sentence, they meet every Tuesdays. Morrie is diagnosed with ALS, his health is deteriorating and soon he will die from this disease. But this disease never stops him from living his life, to make his life wonderful. He said “when you learn how to die, you learn to live”. And this is such a great quote because we all know, we are all gonna die, it’s a natural event that every human must acknowledge, we can’t avoid dying, no matter how we hate this word or this event we are all eventually come to that point in life where we are no longer exist in this world. But Morrie also said “Death ends a life, not a relationship. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on- in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.” You will never forget by one who loves you, you do not exist physically but deep in their hearts you will always be there. “Tears are okay”, it will never define you as a weak person but instead it will make you stronger. It’s not a shame to see you crying, it’s not a shame to cry it is even worse to not cry.

This movie is more than just a movie, it is a life lesson. “Am I being the person I want to be?” this quote had made me think, do the things I have now is all I really want? Am I happy from where am I? Am I enjoying life? Tuesdays with Morrie is a complete lesson for the people who don’t know what they want in life. It is a lesson where you must act to fulfill your task. Be with the one you love, be with the person who makes you happy, because sometimes “We put our values in the wrong things. And it leads to very disillusioned lives.” This will be always the reason why other people are in the wrong path; they do not have the contentment and will always demand what they do not have. Morrie teaches us that we will not get the genuine happiness in any material things; family, friends and love ones will always give the joy what we are looking for. “Why are we embarrassed by silence? What comfort do we find in all the noise? And also this will always be the reason why other hates their family, they hate their family for knowing the truth, they prefer to hear a lie rather than to hear the truth. Family, fathers, mother will always know what is better for us.
